Maintenance Tips

Simple habits that extend your pump's life and prevent costly repairs.

Pipes & Installation
Use ISI marked quality pipes only
Install correct pipe size as specified on nameplate
Reduce number of bends and elbows in pipeline
Water Quality
Never run pump with muddy or sandy water
Use strainer at bottom of suction pipe
Ensure water is free from solids and fibrous material
Operation
Run pump every 2 days minimum to prevent rust seizure
Never run pump dry — damages mechanical seal
For compressor pumps: maintain oil level between marks
Regular Maintenance
Install compressor pump in well-ventilated area
Clean air filter once a week for compressor pumps
Use 36EN/8 grade shaft oil for compressor
